Costumes

Costume construction began
in September 2005, and lasted until early April 2007. Costumes for some of the
major characters were not fully complete until just days before the first day
of shooting, April 14th 2007. One costume in particular (for the
character of Siris) was completely redesigned just prior to filming. The
costuming of the cast was one of the most difficult endeavors to undertake. I
had a certain vision in mind and through much effort, and eventually trial and
error, I ultimately designed and crafted the costumes myself. Through this
process, however, key elements came together, and with the help of friends and
family members I assembled what you see before you. All the costumes that were
either purchased or made by myself or others, that ended up not being used for
key characters in the film, were used by secondary characters and extras.
Thankfully, hardly anything went to waste that was purchased.

The
original cape just didn’t do it for me plain and simple. Items of this nature
were used by extras. |
Neither
did the second one. Extras would later wear these units as well, when the War
Room scenes were filmed. |
You
may be able to notice a slight modification in this photo. It gave me an
idea. |

In the end I stayed away
from capes and ended up constructing several shawls for the guards.
Capes are lame anyways.

The costume for Virus was assemble
from varying sources, and is completely made of leather.
To top off the ensemble,
she wears a chain male skirt, and heavy leather Mini Merc set for her petite
frame.
Donato Cocuzza is also
pictured above in his home crafted Jedi costume.
Through a combined effort
we crafted the Phrik alloy armor for the Jedi’s left arm as well.

Siris’ and Bane’s costumes
were assembled and crafted from various pieces.
Barbara Basinger crafted Bane’s
armor, which was then modified to attain a certain look.
